Glenn E. Bulan, MD joined Texas Eye Institute in January 2006. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus.
Dr. Bulan is a graduate of Cornell University. He then attended New York Medical College where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his internship and residency at Lenox Hill Hospital / New York University in New York City. Dr. Bulan then went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
Prior to joining Texas Eye Institute, Dr. Bulan had a successful practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts for over five years. He was actively involved in teaching ophthalmology residents and medical students, and was Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Brown Medical School, Department of Ophthalmology.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Bulan has actively participated in various research studies, including the Amblyopia Treatment Study and Nasolacrimal Duct Obstruction studies, in conjunction with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). He was also the Ophthalmology Section Chairman and member of the OR Committee at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in 2010.
Dr. Bulan is available for consultation in all aspects of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, from routine yearly exams to complex surgical cases.
